  1. General Details

SomatXR Data Acquisition System: Rugged and Extremely Flexible for Mobile Testing and Test Benches

The SomatXR data acquisition system enables extremely reliable and precise operation in harsh environments and is protected from humidity, dust, shock, and vibration. The modular DAQ system can be used in a variety of applications such as mobile vehicle testing, stationary measurements, and structural health monitoring. The modules are suitable for operation in a wide temperature range and can be easily and flexibly combined, in centralized or distributed configurations.

    Extremely rugged

    • Temperature range: -40 to +80 °C (dew-point proof)
    • IP65/IP67 degree of protection (dust and water)
    • Vibration- and shockproof in compliance with MIL-STD202G (10 g and 75 g respectively)
    • High signal quality owing to the use of carrier-frequency technology
    • Reduced signal interference due to the positioning of the measuring amplifier close to the measuring points

    Easy to use

    • Easy parameterization and visualization of measured data using HBM’s catman software
    • Compact and portable
    • Open to the integration with many more software programs as LabVIEW, Visual Studio.NET or CANape

    Modular and flexible

    • A modular system, including data recorder, gateways, universal and bridge amplifier, etc.
    • Scalable to many different small and major measuring tasks
    • Different transducers and interfaces can be integrated using a universal input
    • Can be freely combined with QuantumX

SomatXR – Your Individual Data Acquisition System

The modular architecture of the SomatXR DAQ allows you to implement your own measurement system – with a data recorder and catman DAQ software or with a connected PC and catman data acquisition software. In addition, SomatXR modules can be integrated into test bench applications in various ways and flexibly combined with QuantumX modules.
